EXPERIENCE SCWA 2012!
Welcome to this special 2012
Convention & EXPO issue of the
ADVANTAGE.
One of the greatest basketball
coaches of all time was John Wooden.
As we prepare for the 2012 SCWA
Convention & Car Wash EXPO, I
am reminded of a quote from John
Wooden, “To become the best at what
you do – you need to associate with the very best you
can find. Mark these words, you will never out - perform
your inner circle. If you want to achieve more, the first
thing you should do is improve your inner circle”.
With this in mind, perhaps one of the most important
benefits SCWA provides is the Annual Convention& EXPO. At its very core, Wooden’s words are why we
hold this event. The Convention & EXPO is an opportunity
for each of you to improve your inner circle, to learn
more, to see new innovations and to associate with the
very best in the car wash industry.
As you read through this issue and see the highlights
of the 2012 Convention & EXPO program you
will see a schedule that is equal to any regional or even
national convention. You will find many opportunities
to improve your inner circle. The speakers and Car Wash
Academy workshops are national caliber addressing
business and industry issues that will help all of us be
more successful and competitive in 2012.
We know that time and money to attend the
Convention is a true commitment on your part; so we
work hard to make sure our programs and speakers bring
the most relevant information and practical solutions.
The CEO Forum will present a speaker who will give us
a unique look at the business trends and political actions
that will impact our business in 2012. We will learn what
we can do to better prepare and position our business not
just for 2012 but for the future. The Car Wash Academy
will feature new and important topics for all experience
levels. Of course the Car Wash EXPO is very popular and
will again include exhibitors displaying equipment, supplies
and services for the car wash and lube industry.
The General Session will host the Annual SCWA
Awards Presentation and also feature the nationally
known keynote speaker Brad McCoy.
I encourage you to check out all the convention
information in this edition or visit the SCWA website
and register today. If you are a vendor/supplier you
will want to participate in the EXPO. You will find the
exhibitor information and registration on the website:
www.swcarwash.org.
Attend the Convention & EXPO and take home
all the valuable information and lessons. You will be
amazed by what you can achieve when you surround
yourselves with those headed in the same direction. As
you enjoy the convention activities, you will understand
why John Wooden agreed that the value of connecting
and learning is one of the most significant traits of success
and greatness.
See you in Arlington!!
